Fort Clinch – Fernandina Beach, Florida
Located in Fort Clinch State Park, this mountain biking trail is great for enthusiastic beginners! The 14 mile loop trail located on Florida’s northern Atlantic Coast will give riders an easy, non-technical introduction to mountain biking. Views of mossy oaks, pine trees, and palettes will make this a Go-Pro worthy ride!
Little Big Econ State Park – Orlando, Florida
Venetian Waterway Park Trail – Venice, Florida
Switching away from mountain bike trails, this scenic trail offers a more relaxed biking experience for riders along the Intracoastal Waterway. The linear 8.6 mile grass and concrete paved path provides views of urban areas and open green spaces. Along the sunny trail are shaded picnic areas to provide spaces for relaxing view of the water. The flat and windy road is perfect to lul riders into a relaxing afternoon ride.
Seminole Wekiva Trail – Wekiva Springs Area
This 14 mile dog-friendly, paved trail is family friendly and perfect for a leisurely ride through a shaded forest. The wide path allows for joggers, walkers, and bikers to pass each other with ease. This trail, which is part of the Florida National Scenic Trail, has 3 trail heads so that its length can be adjusted to best fit each users needs. You can even stop at the Shoppes of Oakmonte, lock up your bike, and grab lunch during your visit!
Alafia River State Park – Lithia, Florida
This over 20 mile network of single track mountain bike trails, is a favorite of bikers in the Tampa area. This State Park features dozens of trails that vary from beginner to expert levels of difficulty. To view the complex network of trails, click here. Before starting your ride at the park, be sure you know which trails you want to ride. Even if you do not have a bike of your own, you can rent at the park!
Sweetwater Preserve – Gainesville, Florida
This 3 mile single track mountain bike loop will get you climbing over 75 feet in elevation, twice. The intermediate level trail has two main peaks early on to get your heart rate up! Although it is a short trail, it is perfect for newer riders who want to test their skills on an easily navigated trail. But be ready for the challenge!
Grassy Island Trail – Okeechobee, Florida
This hiking, biking, and equestrian trail is a relatively flat trail that is good for beginner level bikers. Totaling 5 miles, the single track loop open fields and thicker palmettos. The trail has a Facebook page that is frequently updated with pictures and notices. This trail is great for those who are looking for a easy, longer unpaved trail.
Imba Red – Ocala, Florida
Alright, you double black diamond thrill seekers. Here is your trail! The Imba Red trail is one of many in the Santos Mountain Bike Trail network. The two mile single track trail, brings you along rocky ascents and wood ramps. The lookout points over the areas massive drops will make you feel like you have earned the day. It is not difficult to find your way in and out of, which is nice on a difficult ride. If you are a hardcore rider looking for a challenge, here you go!
